and wood tell any lies that they thought wood please

that they can not be depended on for information

Often Blacks were killed and we never found out

why - When we had Cooplacurraph they killed an Old

Blackfellow for somethinkg that we never found out, he

left the camp in company with two other Blacks and

never returned - the killed him and put him into a

hollow log we found out after sometime, but why

he was killed we never knew = most likely he had broken

some law and had to be killed, As I am writing about

the "Totems" you must understand that their marraige\

laws were very strict, A Man  must  take a wife from

another "Totem" than thier own, Any Black  having to do

with a woman of his own "Totem" was killed at once

and the Woman as well = They have all to me that

that was kept more strictly than  any of their laws - but

laterly that has not been kept up sp ,icj.- they have

given up many of their old customs. The "Blow up" I

mentioned before was when a Black had broken a

law, he had to stand up at a tree and one of the

head men threw spears at him; it depended on the gravity

of the charge against him how many were thrown at

him, I went up Stoney Creek one day, there was a

lot of Blacks camping up htere - A lot in from Larrays

Flat amongst them was   one named "Bobby belonging

to Robert" there were two Bobbies in that Tribe one
