They were also very particular about not a Boy or a

Woman see or even  hear  about those things we used

to make and call "Bullroarers", It was a thin peice

of wood with notches all down the edges and tied

onto a long peice of string, when it was whurled

round the head it made a roaring noise = they were

not to be seen by a Woman under pain of death, The

Darkies called them the Devil Devil it was greatly

used in the "Man Making" or "Cabra". I do not think

there were any restrictions as to what a Woman

could eat - I never heard of any, like there was among

the Men,  they  always cooked themselves what they

got by hunting - took a good feed & filled themselves

up first, and then passed it over to the Women and

Children to  finish = did not keep any for the next

day, when hungry they started off for another forage  

I have seen in Books & Papers that they were given to  

cannabalisum, I very much doubt it, even in old

times, I have heard Bony talk about his Father

"My word that fellow murry wild, one time that fellow

bin go camp - that bin murry hungry - bail  got

any paller  that fellow bin kill him little fellow

pickameny, and bin roast him and eat him"

Bony used to tell this to show what a "Miall" his

Father was = I very much doubt if canabalisum

ever was practised, I have seen in a Book that
