10th - Bombardment heavier than usual over 1st lines, liberally watered with minen [minenwerfer - mortars]. Our line suffer badly. H & 10 just as I get into bed. Our gourbis shakes from side to side followed by hail storm of shells of all kind. Our lines cut, no communications. All sorts of rumors. Expect to see the Boches arrive at any moment. But they content to come & take a few prisoners & go back to their lines. Spend day night & morning repairing lines.
