Crossing bois des Allemands a rafale of 77, little bit of stampede, but nobody hurt.

Reléve finished about 2 p.m. En route  for Verdun at 3. Arrive exhausted 6 p.m couple of hours sleep, eat then en route again. Boches notice our movements & bombed on way, fortunately only a couple wounded, wonderfully. After Bellinville [?] rest a couple of hours then take cars for Moulin Villa en route for Bar le Duc. Get into our quarters at about 10 pm 30, awake at 9 am much refreshed, enjoy 1st wash for three weeks.

1st  - Rest clean up still very stiff. Beautiful spring weather.  How delightful to enjoy the sun again without fear of the eclats. It appears we go back to the trenches on the 4th.  Most Somme so they say.
