5.30 pm     Following message was received from Division:- :The Div. will take up bent line from the Canal in A.3 d, The Knob, Bony Point and to junction with 14th A.I. Bde in A.16 d.  Patrols will be maintained forward of this point."
7.30 pm     35th Bn was ordered to send one Coy. assisted by 2 Machine Guns of 23rd A.M.G.Coy.  to prolong the left flank of the 10th A.I.Bde, facing N.E. astride the Sunken road about A.3 c  2.0. the whole to be under the command of the C.O. 40th Bn., a gap having occurred between the left of 10th A.I.Bde and English troops.

12.45 am     The 35th Bn was complete in A.7 b and A.8 c with H.Q. at A.8 c 0.4. and at 4.40 pm report was received from the 35th Bn stating that they had succeeded in linking up with the English troops.
9 am     The 33rd Bn moved out through BONY and crossed the HINDENBURG LINE without opposition the 10th A.I.Bde moving up on the left and crossing the Canal.  Thus the whole of the HINDENBURG LINE was now in our possession.  The enemy heavily shelled BONY and all roads immediately on the troops crossing the Canal.
3.10 pm     The following wire was despatched to all Units:-  "9th A.I.Bde will move to-night to locations occupied on the night 28/29th September. 41st Bn will move to same location as it occupied on the night 28/29th September. Moves will be made in small parties not larger than sections, keeping well to the low ground.  41st and 34th Bns commence move at 16.00, 35th Bn at 17.00, 9th A.L.T.M.Bty 17.00".  At 17.50 Bde H.Q. closed at F.17 a 3.1. and reopened at E.12 c 9.5 at the same hour
8 pm     The move of the Bde group was complete. During the operation the tanks suffered very badly owing to mine fields and enemy anti-tank defences.  Tanks always drew heavy shell fire to their vicinity.
2 am     The 33rd Bn rejoined the Bde group.
6 am     The Bde was disposed as follows:- Bde H.Q., E.12 c 9.5,  33rd Bn E.17 b 1.5,  34th Bn E.17 b 1.7.,  35th Bn E.16 a 7.3., 9th A.L.T.M.Bty e.17 a 9.4.,  23rd A.M.G.Co  E.23 c O.1   The 3rd Army Bde A.F.A. remaining in action.
