2nd Anzac Horse Show DRIONVILLE. Field Marshall Sir Douglas HAIG attended with representatives of the French, Belgium and Portuguese Armies. Reinforcements received during the month - 5 Officers and 245 O/Rs.

Bde inspected by the Commander-in-Chief, Field Marshall Sir Douglas HAIG at LE VAL RESTANT, all C.O.'s presented to the C.I.C.

9th Bde carried out a Field exercise at HAPPE, under Brig. Gen. Chas. ROSENTHAL, CB GMC. New formations of infantry in the attack were practiced. The operations generally successful. The different formations adopted by each Bn receiving a thorough test. That of the 35th Bn was judged the better and it was decided to use it in the forthcoming offensive. The sling attachment now used by the 9th A.L.T.B. Bty was most successful and the Mortars were in action against the various strong points in 4 or 5 seconds from the word "Action". Both the Div. and Corps Commanders were present.

33rd Bn moved to AVROULT on the first stage of the Bde march to our new section of the line.
Bde group carried out feet and kit inspections.

6 am. Bde Group moved off on first stages of march to our new sector. Owing to the diffficulty of finding billeting areas, the first days march was 25 miles to WARDRECQUES
