Troops rested.  Training grounds were prepared.

Training commenced, 5½ days of 5 hours each per week.  Classes for Junior Officers and N.C.O's commenced. Bde Sig. School, P.T. and B.F. established.

G.O.C. 9th A.I. Bde inspected the Bde Sig. School, and the 9th Bde A.M.C.Coy.  Bde informed to be prepared to take over a defensive sector of the 2nd Army front about the 8th or 12th November.

General training, Bde inoculated against typhoid.

Instructions received that Bde will leave the area on 9th and move to a sector north of the River LYS, the 3rd Aust. Div. becoming part of the 1st Anzac Corps. Conference of G.O.C's, Bde's, B.M's and C.R.E. at Div H.Q. FAUQUEMBERGUES.  The Div. Commander outlined the work policy for the new area.  The policy to be Quiescent one.

Bde and Bn Staffs said "Good-bye" to Lt-Gen Sir A.J.GODLEY. KCB.

9th A.I. Bde moved by bus to the BERQUIN Area, first line transport by road to WILTES.
