10.15 am  During the day enemy Artillery inactive.  Our Field Artillery very active. 30 rd's of 77's fell on right centre of L'EPINETTE Sector. 
2.30 pm  M.T.M's & L.T.M's covered by group artillery carried out successful shoot on enemy wire.
3.30 pm  L.T.M's fired 14 rds on a sniper post at C.17 a 50.20 successfully.
5.30 pm  L.T.M's dispersed enemy working party at C.23 b 50.20. During early morning and night Vickers Guns carried out a programme of indirect fire.  7 patrols out during the night on L'Epinette Sector.  No enemy encountered but a Hostile M.G. located. 50 Rifle Grenades fired into enemy front line at Locality 2.  During the afternoon Smoke Signal rockets were tested on the Bde front with good results.

5 am  33rd and 34th Bns. relieved 35th and 36th Bns. in HOUPLINES-L'EPINETTE Sector.
1.30 pm  63 - 4.2s fell in Central Avenue doing severe damage.
7.30 pm  Localities 5, 6 and 7 shelled, no damage.  A heavy fall of snow prevented patrolling and listening posts were established.  M.G's carried out a normal programme.

Slight enemy Artillery activity at HOUPLINES.
1.45 am  Medium and L.T.M's carried out a shoot.  M.T.M's unsatisfactory.  M.G. programme as usual, 12 patrols out. Bright Moon.  Talking and coughing heard in enemy sector.  Enemy Artillery active opposite L'EPINETTE sector.
9 am  Intermittent enemy artillery fire on whole sector. Enemy registered all houses in L'EPINETTE sector.  Enemy wiring parties dispersed by Artillery and M.G's.
4 pm  M. and L.T.M's carried out a successful shoot with Artillery covering fire.
9.45 am  Enemy artillery active.  L.T.M's bombarded sniper's post, at C.29 a 40.15, and again at 2 pm.
5.15 pm  50 rds Stokes fired at Revolver Gun at I.5 d 16.56 with good results. Moonlight hampered patrolling.

8.30 am  Locality 3 shelled.  L.T.M's fired 12 rds at C.29 a 85.90.  Enemy fire silenced.  Locality 3  shelled.  L.T.M's fired 12 rds at  C.17 c 90.50. parapet damaged.  Usual M.G. indirect firing at night. 7 patrols out on Right sector, 5 on left Sector.
10.40 pm  Considerable shouting, cheering and ringing of bells heard in enemy localities. 3 an 7.
3 pm  G.O.C. 10th A.I Bde took over command of the Sector.  9th Bde H.Q. moved to 98 Rue Sadi Carnot, ARMENTIERES.  Relief carried our as per Bde Order 50.
7 pm  207th M.G. Coy. relieved the 9th M.G. Coy who moved later to billets in town.
12 pm  10th A.L.T.M. Bty relieved the 9th M.G.Bty  who moved later to billets in town.  39th and 40th Bns. relieved 33rd and 34th Bns who moved later to billets in town.
