Brigade Sig. section under 2nd Lieut. Parker joined the Brigade from 3rd div. sig. Coy.

5.10.16 to 9.10.16
Brigade route march to trenches in Bustard Area. Took over
trenches and lived under active service conditions for five days. Attached for the Operation were the following units:
7th F.A. brigade (Lt. Col. W.G. Allsopp)  9th Field Ambulance,       
(Lt. Col. F.A. Macguire) Brigade Headquarters in a farm.[Bustard Area]  
Many practice raids and stunts carried out with aeroplanes and artillery co-operating. Lieut General Sir Henry Slater, G.O.C. Southern Command and the Divisional Commander witnessed the stunt and expressed themselves well satisfied with the training of the men.
