6 am.  Resumed march to EEKE, 16 miles north west arriving at 2 pm.  Men all in fairly good condition.

7 am.  Resumed march to WINNEZEELE.   Units all settled in billets by 1 pm.
Location of H.Q. at nightfall - WINNEZEELE.
G.O.C. and Bde Staff went forward to inspect our new positions in the line. (Ref. Map FRANCE 28 N.E. 1/10,000)  This area held by the 8th and 76th Inf. Bds. of the 3rd British Div. who are occupying shell holes between points D. 27 b 92.75 to D. 21 a 35.75.
4 pm.  Conference of all Commanding Officers at B.H.Q. 
8 pm.  C.O's all Bns and advanced parties of 35th and 34th Bns sent into the line with 76th Inf.Bde south of ZONNEBEKE Railway.  33rd Bn in front line 34th Bn in support.  Advance parties of 35th and 36th Bns sent into the line with the 8th English Inf. Bde.

8 pm.  35th and 36th Bns relieved the 8th Inf. Bde north of ZONNEBEKE railway.  35th Bn on right 36th Bn on the left.  Boundaries of 35th Bn South ZONNEBEKE Railway, North, Line through road Junction at D.14 d 80.00 running parallel to ZONNEBEKE railway.  Advance parties of the 6th and 7th Aust. Inf. Bdes. came into the Bn sector south of the railway, 7th Bde being north of 6th Bde, FREZENBURG.  Bde H.Q. were established at Mill Cottage I.5 a 05.65 and advance Bde H.Q. at D.26 c 15.32 in concrete dugout south of ZONNEBEKE railway.

The role of the Bde was as follows:- 
The Bde was responsible for holding the whole of the 3rd Div, Sector of the 2nd Anzac Corps, until Zero hour. The front taken over was 2000 yds and extended from the Brick kiln south of ZONNEBEKE village northwards to ZONNEBEKE Station, and from ZONNEBEKE station northwards to VAN ISAACSONs farm.  At a later date the Bde was to side slip northwards about 500 yds and hand over all the line south of the railway to the 4th Aust. Div.  The role of the Bde was to be Div Reserve during the attack of the 10th and 11th Bdes on Zero day.
