So that was January, all that travel and still Mum was able to wake up fresh and eager to face a new day, always helping, always doing for others.

Mum remained in Sydney until the 20th February when she left for Barraba travelling by train to Tamworth and then by coach to Barraba. She would spend 2-3 weeks with Betty and Barrie. Mum loved the store and proved to be a great PR lady and soon everyone in Barraba knew Betty's mother.

Somewhere around the 12th March Mum returned to Ballina. I might add that Mother was now working as a volunteer for Life Line and spent a lot of time helping out at the Life Line shop in Ballina as well as maintaining contact at the Byron Bay Nursing Home.

The time between March 23rd and April 6th, Mum spent with Merle and Ron. This included the Easter holiday, Easter Sunday she wrote in her diary:-

Sunday 30th: Merle cooked roast pork & turkey & vegetables & made pavlova with fruit salad. A late lunch and her friend Maureen was there, we all had a lovely day.

During April Mum was kept busy with visits from Arron and his dog, the Lisha family, her visits to the Nursing Home as well as going to church each Sunday.
