Remarkable Occurrences South Seas ~

Gentle breezes with some flying Showers at 6PM Variatn off Azmth 8o.8'E Note while we was between the Lat.de of 37o & 40o we had constantle blowing Tempestious wear but since we have been to the Northward of 37o the wea.r hath been very Moderate


Gentle breezes & sometimes Calm a Swell from the SSW ~
First p.t mod.t & Cloudy. remainder Strong Gales & Squally. several Albetrofses Pintado Birds & Sheer Waters about the Ship. some of the Albetrofses were all white ~
First part very strong Gales & Squally remainder more mod.te with a large swell from the Southward ~
Fresh gales & Cloudy ~
Mod.te Gales & Cloudy with a Swell from the Southward~
Variable light Airs & Calm Var.n off Ampl.de at sunset 8:36E off Azmth in the morning 8o.'29'E mean 8o.'32½ Et.a large hollow swell from the Southward~

Most part Gentle breezes & clear weather ~
Fresh breeze & Cloudy the Southerly swell still Continues from which I conjector that there is no land near in that Direction ~

Mod.te breezes & Cloudy. at Noon saw some sea Weed the Southerly swell is quite gone down.~
D.o wea.r at 1PM Pafs'd by a Peice of Wood about 3 feet long & 7 or 8 inches thick Var.n at 6PM & Azm.th 10:48E. AM. got up all the Boatsw.ns Stores to take an accot of them~
Fresh breezes & fair wear~
Very strong Gales & hazey with rain the First & Middle p.t Latter mod.te & clear weather in the evening took in the Topsails & Mainsail & lay too with her head to the Westward under the Foresail during the night at 4AM made Sail. saw several Peices of Sea Weed at different times this 24 Hours ~
First & Middle p.t fresh gales & Cloudy Latter p.t very strong Gales & Squally. at 4PM saw a Seal asleep upon the Water & some Weed. AM saw several bunches of Sea Weed & a few Albetrofses & Sheer Waters ~
