Bde H.Q. moved to RIVERY (M.2.a.6.4.)
Bde now responsible for the defence of SOMME River facing South and counter-attacking on any part of Corps Front.
All Bde (except 9th A.M.G.Coy) billetted in RIVERY.  9th A.M.G. Coy at GLISY.

Brig-Gen Chas ROSENTHAL C.B. C.M.G. proceeded to St. GRATIN and took over command of the 2nd Aust, Division.  Lieut-Col H.A. GODDARD D.S.O. 35th Bn, assumed command of the 9th A.I.Bde and was appointed Brig-Gen.

8 pm  Bde Headqrs moved to O.25.c.3.2. and Bde relieved the 12th A.I.Bde North of O.25.c.3.2. the VILLERS-BRET - WARFUSEE-ABANCOURT Road.

1-45 am  Relief complete.  33rd Bn holding the line with 35th Bn in Support and 34th Bn in Reserve.
to 26-5-18  Situation quiet.

27-5-18  Genl Sir W.R. BIRDWOOD, Commanding Aust Corps held an investiture at Bde H. Qrs and said good-bye to representative Officers on leaving the Corps to command the 5th Army.  Major-Gen. Sir John MONASH promoted to Lieut General and to command Aust. Corps.

29-5-18
33rd Bn relieved by 35th Bn during hight, 34th Bn moved into Support, 33rd to Reserve.

31-5-18
Situation normal.  Enemy quiet.
