Lieutenants
Lieutenant L.B. Ravenscroft A keen & capable officer of considerable ability & character; of strong personality which served him well, when discharging the special duties of Provost Marshall.
Lieutenant B.H.McLachlan. A keen & capable young officer of good ability & dash & thoroughly reliable: Detailed for duty with Major Martin at Frederick Williams Hafen.
Lieutenant J.M. Maughan. A thoroughly steady & capable officer of good ability & strong character, has been coy. commander since Capt Twynams absence & showed great ability as coy commander & good work as O.C. Kieta garrison: His legal knowledge was of great assistance to me on several occasions.
Lieutenant V. H. Sampson. A keen & capable young officer, possessing dash & considerable military knowledge, his work had been quite satisfactory and I can confidently report on his services for any future military work. He was O.C. Kawieng garrison.
