AUSTRALIAN NAVAL AND MILITARY EXPEDITION
ROUTINE ORDER NO. 39.
By COLONEL J. PATON.  V.D.  COMMANDING.         

1.   In accordance with A.N. & M. Expedn. Order No. 37, Colonel J. Paton, V.D., assumed command of the Expeditionary Troops in German New Guinea on the 10th instant.   Major R.H. Beardsmore Infantry Battn. is appointed to command the Garrison Troops  at Rabaul.

2.   The following Administration Order is published for information.   Dated 8/1/15.

      1.   Colonel S.A. Pethebridge, C.M.G.  has this day assumed the Administration of German New Guinea, vice Colonel W. Holmes, D.S.O., V.D., who is returning to Australia at his own request with a view to further active service.   

        2.   Promotions   No. 51 Pte. C. Gregory, 3rd Battalion, to be Corpl. and Orderly Room Clerk A.A.M.C.   Dated 10/1/15.

3.   The Commanding Officer regrets to announce the death of No. 437 Sergt. F.A. Tibbey, E Coy., Infantry Battalion, due to a surf accident at Kitape.
