I desire to acknowledge the receipt of your memorandum of the 31st ultimo, covering a report by Dr. Maguire upon the occurrence of Varicella and Small Pox in German New Guinea.
I am sending an official acknowledgement of this memorandum to Rabaul, but I take the opportunity of thanking you for your assistance in the matter.
