Comforts Fund. In fact it had already distributed a large amount of tobacco, cigarettes & cocoa. On this day as I had to go on guard at midnight I told the Sergeant to wake me up at 11.30 so that I could toddle down to get a can of cocoa for the guard, an intimation that it would be ready for us having been already made. When the sergeant shook me up before 11.30 I rolled over in the irritable sleep of exhaustion & told him to go the land of good intentions.
