The "Bull Ring" which we had been led to believe was an awful ordeal to go through turned out to be not as severe as Salisbury Plains. We had some hectic digging, bayonet fighting, instruction in the manipulation of barbed wire & various other tricks in the wholesale murder business, but there was nothing in it to make any healthy man squeal.
One of the most popular resorts in the Camp was a big cinema show, 3d admission, two sessions an evening, & it must have been a gold
