at Cambridge - what times with Mun.

Dec 12th

Went to Catterick (Yorks) Richmond and Darlington.

Dec 17th - Jan 3rd, 1919

Christmas Leave, York, Peterborough, Grantham and London - then on to Edinburgh (a noble city) Glasgow and Kinlochleven.  How different in its garment of snow, but still very beautiful. Had "Jimmy" with me - back to Catterick via Berwick-on-Tweed and Newcastle-on-Tyne.

Jan 11th

I was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant on 2nd Jan.  Went to camp at Sutton Veney, Warminster (via Westbury) - then to Southhampton via Salisbury and over to Havre - fancy - France again and no war on.

Feb 1st

Train to Charleroi, Belgium, it took 5 days via Etaples (Paris Plage) Valencennes Douai, Mons - right through the old battle areas.  I found the old Battalion Acoz, and stayed there and
