at Lausprelle about 2 months, during which time I visited, the Field of Waterloo, and had a wonderful 3 days, in Brussels.
April 3rd
Orders for "Home" at last - what an eventful last journey, on about 6 different French railways, to Havre, via Mons, Survilliers, and Nantes (Seine) - Then across to Southhampton, up to Warminster, to Longbridge Deverill.
April 5th
My last 4 days in the "Big Smoke" - London, where I said "Good-Bye" to all my friends.
April 9th - April 18th, April 19th
I started on a final "tour round" visiting Bath, Bristol, Gloucester, Stroud, Cardiff, Waterford, (Ireland), Dublin, and Kingstown, via Kildare, and Kilkenny - I crossed the Irish Channel by Fishguard and Rosslare, returned to Warminster. My last impression of Old England - "Glorious Devon", - for I came aboard this old tub "H.M.T. Sardinia"
