had some good fun, and splendid shooting for our rifles and Lewis Guns. (I captured 2 prisoners) in this little affair, not many Prussians got back to Prussia, but we also lost some good men. - He managed to bomb our Company Headquarters.

To Bazentin-le-Petit. (2nd Div. took up the pursuit and entered Bapaume a few days later.)

We then went to Contal Maison Montauban and to billets (the same old ones) at Ribemont.
April 1st
Went to 1st Div. Inf. School, Tirancourt and had a fine time - Amiens - Le Chausee - Picquigny - Ailly-sur-Somme - Villers Bocage, - Haiponville - Bouzincourt.
May 10th
Fancy being able to March in broad daylight up the Albert-Bapaume Road to right into Bapaume - poor old place! - what a ruin it was and stilll smoldering - then we went
