countryside and we one likes too look around for all is so strange and interesting. The villages seem to have all been erected about Ceasars time or a little later, and little has been added to them since. As we march along all the greybeards of the country stand at their doors to greet us. Dad Wayback of Australian fame, is a modern uptodate looking fellow compared with many of the Rip Van Winkles.
The little children seem advanced for their ag are fat and healthy looking but do not seem advanced for their age due probably to the cold climate.
All the Hotels here are known as Inns, and seem to be more spirit shops than anything else. The Cross keys in Fovant is where Dick Turpin used to stop, so they say, perhaps he did and perhaps he didn't, very probably didn't. Shops are set in all sorts of out of the way places, and seem to be run as sidelines to something else.
