the latter expression of course brings a thunderous "No", in Response.
On the 28th of September, I recieved my final leave, & departed for my old home up country. Things were just grand down home, & things looked as only the west can look in a good year. The roads lined with box & belah trees were never greener, and I was loth to leave "that dear old home of mine". Of course I had to tolerate the local send off that everyone leaving for the front gets.
And now Im back in Liverpool, drilling and forming squad, & looking very much like precise geese for we are training to beat the hun.
Occasionally we hear rumours we are going to sail soon, Lieutenant so and so, said so; but on the date being reached it recedes into the distance like a mirage on the plains.
On Sunday the 14th of October we assembled in Belmore Park Sydney for a farewell church service; for soon we will be sailing o'er our blue Pacific sea. Rumour says in 3 weeks, but then rumour is a lying jade. After lounging around in Belmore park for a while, we were lined up and divide into our respective church sections. We marched down
