My luck is right in & I spent quite a good time reading them. Haven't any writing paper so cannot reply right away. Mary Hamilton is worried about the City on the hill - Cassell & rates me for using swear words in my diary. What! What!
Got up this morning (Sunday) - its months since we had a service - with that hymn running thro my mind, "Drop thy still dews of quietness till all our strivings cease, Take from our souls the strain & stress & let our ordered lives confess the beauty of Thy peace". The quiet life back here is evident of relieving the stress of the past few weeks, one would think that the experience at Ypres would give a chap a permanent kink, but somehow it hasn't.
The Padre & I have our own little mess, its not too bad either, the chateau where the other chaps are is some distance away. Roy Hall one of old "B" Co is cook.
Read last night the 23rd Psalm its a glorious poem & fills the bill completely.
