Tomorrow is Easter Sunday, a day of world wide rejoicing because Christ fullfilled his final debt of love for mankind.  Over these war swept areas stand numerous crucifixes reminding us of Gods love for us.  Today right on the top of the hill, I noticed one & the problem of war became almost inexplicable - in this country of mans hate.  The crucifix calls to my mind that glorious hymn which often we sang at home,

"O Cross that liftest up my head
I dare not ask to fly from thee.
I lay in dust lifes glory dead
& from the ground their blossoms red.
Life that shall endless be."

War may be an elemental force in mens nature but surely it would not exist if men knew the truer meaning of love & life & God.
