Going under is a rather a peculiar sensation, and when you come out you talk and sing, and yet you know what you are doing but cannot stop yourself from making a noise. In a few days I was sent away to Horseferry road amd got 10 days more leave, with orders to report back there to be sent to Weymouth. I caught a special to Crewe and spent all my leave there, as I had to go to the Hospital to get my wound dressed. I came back to London on the Monday as I wanted to buy some things. I paid a visit to the Natural history Museum at South Kensington and it is a splendid one. I like that yarn about Noah's Ark, if Noah had managed to get 2 of every kind into his ark the size it was it would have sunk like a stone. Perhaps he gave the animals vin Blanc and made 'em feel light.. The skeleton of an Iguanadon , I think, was 60 feet long and it must have stood 17 feet high or more. "Some Lizard." Then there was the Triceratops a huge beast uglier than a Rhinoceros, with an amazing collarbone. Also a moa bird and a gigantic bird from Madagascar which must have stood over 15 feet high. I suppose these animals put the wind up  Noah hence their extinction. There are some lovely specimen of azurite, opals, and Crystals,  and some good microscopic views. But London is no place for an Australian to remain in long, as he is not respected there, for unhappily only too many have not played the game or the wrong sort of game. Many of our men have acted in an ungrateful and disgusting manner, here they do things that if they did them in civil life or at home in Australia would earn them a 2 pound 10 fine in front of an unsympathetic magistrate, and then for the laxity which has been allowed them they say hard things of the English people. Londoners naturally take the average Aussie to be an unprinciple larrakin and judging by a large number seen in London streets they are right. Unless he has relations
