Assembly Hall - much same as ours - Labour has 2 seats only - Unionists (Dutch) Nationalist (govt) then visited Senate - luxurious.  Between two is entrance Hall .  A marble Hall with black marble pillars & within the whole is oranged by coloured windows  It contains constitution & Edward II seal & signature - also proclamation of Dom [Dominion] with George V seal & signature.  The dining room is fitted with small tables & pictures of past speakers & Governors. Next enter Museum which is reached by traversing a park - very pretty but only trees no variety but plenty of Gum & wattles - At entrance to Library Museum a black 7 ft high was superintending cutting off stone of Bushmen drawing. These are splendidly coloured & executed drawing or paintings on rocks. The work is of high order but Bushman is very low.  Hence some doubt if Bushman. On entrance vestibule to Museum.  There is a collection of stories. These are letter stories for depositing letter for boat due to call or memorial stories & has history of Cape.  As follows  A padrao [large stone cross erected by Portuguese explorers] erected by Diogo Cão in 1485 at Cape Cross - another at Angra Pequena by Bartholomew Diaz in 1487 Both in German S.W. Africa. Da Gama 1497 - 1499. There is complete life size coloured castes of Bushmen.  The original inhabitants of S.A. almond eye.  (1) men can suckle young (2) women have enlarged posterior with on which they can live for long periods men have it in slighter degree. (3) minor labi often extrude as much as 2¼ inches - always some extrusion  speciman is very big  Ribbon fish with ribbon of red on it back is peculiar  The art Gallery is disappointing & contains no good paintings.  Hard to discover entrance from statuary.  All pictures of importance are in Michael's Collection in old town Hall  - with a Grecian or Roman Garden. Next visited R.A Colly & medical school. meet Drennin  see physiology & embryology museums.  Rain comes on mountain is lost in mist:  Visit university consisting of round dome & two large rooms used for exam & "capping".  See Hugenot Memorial Church again with some man who explain that Capetown is Port capital Bloemfontein the judicial & Pretoria the administrative capital of the Union. Then go to Royal Hotel to dine
