There is much to write about but sometimes one has no inclination to write under censor inspection.

Not that one wishes to write of forbidden subjects, no not that, but it rather prevents one writing as desired.

This Egypt is still a most interesting country to me but under laws of war it is impossible to study it properly.

As a tourist in peace time it would be ten times more interesting to one.
Do you know I think it may be possible to meet my dear old brother Norman before I get back to Australia.

Although he is in Vancouver and I cannot see how it will come about, I yet think I will see him. What a meeting will that be!

In our letters we cannot speak of the movements of troops as you know, but one cannot help thinking how changed will be the conditions of life and place after this war.

May who are fortunate enough to get safely through will perhaps settle down in new places
