Any other type I have come across yet. Also their features to my observation are cleaner cut and more delicately defined than others
There is a dumpiness and [blandness?] about the women here which gives one the impression that a mandate has gone forth from the Sultan that beauty must be plump at all costs, and plump it is.
The men dress well and look well Some types (and there are many) are fine examples of manhood. Dark handsome men, swarthy Arab princes. Calm faced Egyptians, men of the Jewish race and from everywhere else on earth.
Of course, amongst the women are fine examples of Egyptian and Arab beauties in their respective national costumes
And now I come to the picturesque and it is picturesque for you see the various peoples of many shades in [indecipherable] mantles, gowns, and veils of coloured fabrics just as we saw in "Kismit"
Bright colours, purples, blues, reds, greens, blacks, bright red shoes brilliant scarlet turbans and fezes, [indecipherable] sparkling shawls
