Egypt. Hot winds dusty and making it unbearable. I was glad to welcome the night when atmospherically the conditions improved a little. Bathing in the scorching summer sun etc
Thursday 27th
Another hot day. Can one wonder that any conditions - even the land of bullets & shells - is preferable to this. I went down to the beach todayand had a dip. I could not swim but just dipped myself in.
Friday 28th
After the Dr inspection, I dressed and stole a trip into Alexandria. I say stole as no leave is granted in our camp and one has to take
