Olly G came into the trenches near us last night. We had a quiet night although we had a general alarm & at dawn they commenced to shell us & one came a few yards from us. We had some splendid shooting at the Turks as they came along the ridge. As far we can learn we are to be relieved by another Battery today.
The 9th Battery relieved us about 10 am & we went down to the beach & greatly enjoyed a dip. We then went & dug ourselves in on one of the
