A very quiet day. Commenced to rain in the evening.
Wednesday 12th
A dirty long mucky day. Mud sticks like glue. It was extremely cold - wind blowing over from off the snow clad mountns. We had orders to be ready to open fire at any moment - our gun to bombard the enemy's positions. It fined a little about 1 PM & we commenced to shell a large house in the distance thought to be a headquarters of the Turks. We fired about 30 rounds & hit the place about 6 times but the enemy soon had their guns trained on to us & gave us a warm
