My dear old Dad
I'm just back in the big Camp and was greeted with a big bunch of correspondence. You will be interested to know that in the batch were your very welcome letters of Decr 28, March 14 & 21 and 28. A day or two ago I got yours of April 27 and answered it partially. The December epistle told of poor mothers bad attack but latter letters are all so much more hopeful that I'm convinced that she will soon be out of danger & settling down to a Comfortable old age.
I'm looking forward to the day when I'll come marching home again & see her dear old face at the door welcoming me home. ... God grant that.
Tell Miss Cameron I'm going to bring her a nice present for the way she has looked after Mum.
