My dear Truthful little sister
Your letters are always very welcome my darling and never more so when you indulge in such delightful ironies and to subscribe yourself as "truthful" sister. Long before I was halfway through the letter I saw the irony of it all. Still its got to be answered in all seriousness as is my wont, and my will.
I need not tell you I'm fit as a fiddle. That goes without saying. And as Abdul has cleared out further east we are having a fairly easy time. I have ridden right into the Canal and had a most enjoyable swim, and still more enjoyable iced ** water.
Those postcards we sent on to Tien arrived safely cos I got a letter from her from Warwick and one from Rockhampton.
Now that my second book is on the shelves I am working solidly on my third, Swish. If any of those girls would cease visiting for a while I'd have time to earn a few piastres. (That aint an 'int - you keep on writing). But I've had such a stack of letters lately that I have to
