My dear Dad

Your last letter - that of Nov 12 - had quite a lot of news for me re the book... It was all welcome.   I had hoped that Angus & Robinson wd [would] have rushed 'Bluegum'.   It seemed to me to be right into their hands...   They would have struck the public at fever heat about Gallipoli etc.

As it is essential to strike while the iron was hot, I rushed my other book 'Love Letters of an Anzac' through & it will be on the market before Bluegum  arrives here.   I have a feeling - fed by various eulogistic remarks here - that 'Anzac' will be a big success...   I'm hoping so.   Every home in Australia that was represented on  Gallipoli should get one while the English sales (and those to the troops in Egypt) should be big. So I ought to make a decent thing  out of it & pave the way for old 'Bluegum'.
