My dear old Dad:
There is nothing startling in the way of news. I am away out in the desert and in spite of the heat am feeling fit as a fiddle. The bulk of the Australians have gone to France but they need the Light Horse here on the frontier to keep the marauding Bendouins in order. (The Yeomanry are not up to the game. Some were cut up badly recently but the A L H are to good for the Arabs). I had a run into Cairo to get my kit last week & was lucky enough to find everything intact. It is
