Fine & hot. About the lines all the morning and there was a half holiday in the afternoon. I went over to  the 11th Field Ambulance with our doctor in the afternoon & he said to leave the arm alone for a bit. Three sisters came over for afternoon tea & stayed to dinner. I took one home straight after dinner as she was on night duty, & the others went home after. Sisters Boyle, McMunn, & Evans, all Irish & hard cases.

Got home letters  to 15th July.

The Colonel & Battery Commanders went forward to reconoitre  battery position. We came under 1st Aust  D.A.H.Q.

Sent up ammunition to new position.
