Sunday, 5  May  1918

Fine with occasional showers and storms. About the mess writing letters most of the day. Capt Glover went down to the waggon lines in the afternoon. Fritz put a few shells just in front of our position & some into Heilly during the day.

General Grimwade was round about dinner time but did not bother us. Got word that the 9th Bde of infantry were going forward to advance their line of posts.
