Fine & hot. I went out to the bank in the morning, but all my letters had gone to France. I reported to Horseferry Road & applied for 14 days leave; & was told to sit back & wait till I heard from them. Knocked about with Les Colquhoun & a couple more in the afternoon and went to "The Maid of the Mountains" with them at night. It is just as good as ever. Mother got a room at Cox's and moved down to be near me.
