[Page 165]
[June 7]
We decided to stay about Killie today after having a good time yesterday & hardly ever been at home with Tom. We went around to park some 2 miles from Killie, & after dinner I went into two factories, watching the girls work, they get from 15/- to 25/- a week for 10 hours a day, its a jolly shame. We got our eyes opened going through these two factories. We had a walk in the evening around through the Park & along the river side, it was simply grand.
