[March 24]

Received letter from F. Nichol.  Wrote 12 letter home & to T. Kilpatrick.

We had a very cold sleep, & we are packed like herring.  We fell in & had a little walk & came back & had some buzzer, we also had a bit of a lecture on the buzzer.  Some of our fellows have left to seek billets up towards Bapaume.  We have a very happy time here, all our boys are full of fun.  Every thing is wet & muddy yet.  Got paid 14/4 today.
