Tuesday 11th
Still fine everybody complaining about the tucker it is very scarse
Wednesday 12th
Very rough the seas are washing right over us down below is like a pigsty chaps lying about everywhere so some of us are having a good feed today
Thursday 13th
Still rough we arrived at Marseilles at midday disembarked after dinner but came aboard again we wont be leaving till tomorrow. We were allowed on the wharf but could not get up the town. A good canteen on the wharf
Friday 14th
Marched through the town & entrained & started off at 10am country hilly & plenty of tunnels feeling it a bit cold after Egypt. Pulled up for an hour at 6pm and had rations of Bully beef biscuits jam and tin butter issued also hot tea with rum in it which was very acceptable the people along
