Thursday 27th
Still having gargle parade
Out all day had lectures and practiced outposts Cook came with us & made tea for dinner
Friday 28th
Went on Maide Guard at 10am rations very short 1 loaf to 6 men for the day so it is a case of buy some or eat biscuits about 3000 mounted troops arrived from Cairo treked all the way
Saturday 29th
Came off guard at 10am went to bathing leave to Ismailia in the afternoon
Sunday 30th
Church parade. Went to Ismailia this afternoon & brought out a supply of bread and tin stuff the bakers are making a small fortune. It doesn't put much credit on the army to see the soldiers buying so much tucker every other chap you meet is carrying food of some description.
