[December 25]

Letters from T.K. & Frank & Aunt Liz.  Wrote to Frank, Mrs Mount, T.K. & Mlle Teellier.

Wakened at 6.30 AM by our band playing "Christians awake" & "Hark the herald Angels sing".  We had pourage & ham for breakfast, Xmas pudding & potatoes & meat for dinner, & ham for tea.  The snow has nearly all gone this morning, & the ground is a bit muddy.  Its been a very quiet day.  I had a walk to Nurlu & we had a snow storm coming back.  Its snowing very hard again this evening.  Into bed letter writing at 6 PM.  Some big guns in the distance.
