[December 11]

No quiet so cold as yesterday, but quiet cold enough.  Voting this morning, & I believe the soldiers here are in the majority for conscription.  We had our half holiday today, which is fire wood carrying.  I went into Albert but it was very quiet & the cold brought me straight home.  It is cold tonight.  I don't sleep    full marching order yet.
