[December 8]

Wrote to Aunt Meg.

It is quite calm this morning & the hard frost is beginning to thaw.  Ordinary parades this morning, flag reading, & after that we had oral exam for some of the boys & I was shaking in case I was called out.  After dinner we had a good old game of football, after tea I had a bath & spent the rest of the evening on my lessons.  All study study, study.  Saw Macdonald from Kurri today.
