[November 28]

Usual inspection & parade at 8.30 AM.  Flag reading test & lecture up to 12 oclock.  After dinner we had the regular ½ holiday, consisting of football & 4 mile over country race & we had to carry fire wood.  Just fancy how we feel when they call it a ½ holiday & we have to fall in & carry timber.  My word we get treated like dogs at times.  It is very very cold this evening, real cold nights & dark.
