Wrote to J.F.

Same early rise & lecture after breakfast.  At 11.45 we had rifle drill & inspection & after dinner wood carrying parade.  After parade two of us went to the creek with bombs to bomb fish but the bombs would not go off.  I saw some Tommies net some with wire netting.  I went to the reading room in our tent which is very comfortable.  Still wet & cold, mud all over.
