Received letter from T. Kilpatrick. Wrote to Bob, T. Kilpatrick, R. Collins, Mrs Mount.
Morning parade at 6.30 till 7.30 AM breakfast at 7.30 fall in again at 8.20 AM & we did some drill & went through a gas test, it was tear gas & made your eyes sore when you took your helmet off. We shifted from the softs to the middles this morning after our kit was inspected. ½ holiday today but as I had no money I never left camp, I had a bit walk, the weather is quite fine this afternoon.
