[March 28]

We went out about ¾ of a mile from Bapaume to dig a dugout.  We came home for dinner & went back & finished dugout, it has been raining all day.  Everything is in ruins in this Town, it is just like Ypres, the town hall is about the worst.  We got word tonight to get ready to move out of town into the open field tomorrow.  Afraid of mines & etc.
